About this policy

This policy explains how RaveTide handles information when you browse ravetide.com and www.ravetide.com. RaveTide is an electronic music event-discovery website for the USA and Canada.

Information used to run the website

When you visit, our hosting and delivery providers receive technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Cloudflare provides hosting, network delivery and security. Operational logs may be processed to diagnose errors, prevent abuse and maintain the service.

You do not need an account to browse. RaveTide currently has no visitor registration, checkout, payment collection or email subscription form. Search and event filters run in your browser; we do not operate a search-history profile.

Approximate location

Cloudflare estimates a city, region and country from your network connection and supplies approximate coordinates. RaveTide uses this estimate to choose your city or the closest mapped city with upcoming events. We do not request your device’s GPS location. The estimate may be inaccurate, particularly with a VPN or mobile network. You can select another city or Everywhere.

The selected city and country are saved in your browser. RaveTide does not store the location estimate or IP address in its event database; hosting providers may process network information as described above.

Browser storage and your choices

We use local storage to remember your city/country preference and saved event IDs in My lineup. These preferences are stored on your device, remain until removed by you or your browser, and are not a visitor account. They may differ across devices, browsers and the www and non-www addresses.

Change your location with the city selector, remove saved events using their hearts, or delete RaveTide’s site data in your browser settings to clear saved preferences. Blocking browser storage may prevent preferences from being remembered. Calendar reminders are downloaded to your device; we do not access your calendar.

Service providers and external websites

We use Cloudflare to deliver and protect the service. Pages request typography from Google Fonts, and map views request tiles from OpenStreetMap. These requests expose network information, including an IP address, to the provider. Read Google Fonts’ privacy information.

Organizer, ticketing and Google search links take you to separate services with their own privacy practices. RaveTide does not control their collection, purchases or accounts. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.

Advertising: current status and future plans

RaveTide does not currently load Google AdSense ad tags or Google Analytics tracking. We may introduce advertising later. Before doing so, we will update this policy to identify active advertising services and provide the privacy choices required for that deployment.

If Google advertising is enabled, Google and other participating vendors may use cookies, local storage, web beacons and IP addresses to serve, measure and protect ads. Advertising cookies can support personalized ads based on visits to this and other websites. Where required, the site will request consent before optional advertising storage or personalization and provide a way to change that choice. Applicable opt-out rights, including recognized opt-out signals where required, must be supported when those activities are introduced.

You can manage Google personalized advertising through My Ad Center. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and industry advertising choices. These external settings do not erase your RaveTide preferences or necessarily remove all advertising.

We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is currently no advertising-consent banner because no advertising tags are active.

Retention, security and privacy requests

Browser preferences remain until you clear them. Technical data handled by service providers follows their applicable retention practices; we do not promise a specific provider log-retention period. If you contact us, we use the information you send to address your request and retain it as needed for that purpose, security or legal obligations. Avoid sending sensitive information you do not need to include.

We use HTTPS and restrict access to site administration. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below. We may request proportionate verification; we do not need your browser-stored preferences to help you clear them.

Children and policy updates

RaveTide is not directed to children under 13. Events may impose their own age limits; a listing is not permission to attend. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us. We will update the date on this page when the policy changes and provide additional notice where required.
